Quilt group at Barbara's house.....

That said, I want to share with you the lovely evening our little quilt group shared at Barbara Peterson's charming home.

 

 

 

Since last visiting at Barbara's house she had a new front door installed, and is it ever a beauty.  A beautiful statement for a equally beautiful home which Barbara has created.

 

 



 

 

 

Once stepping through the beautiful entrance......this is what one sees.  I worked with Barbara at Gentler Times Quilt shop, and I loved watching her select fabric for a new project......I learned a lot from watching her.  Everything she makes is hand quilted and her stitching is incredible.  Many of the projects she chooses to make are also hand pieced.  I wish you could all see her work up close........just amazing!

And the salad she served us was equally artistic....and yummy! 

 



 

There were muffins cooling on the stove ready to accompany our salad......and I'm sorry to say, I forgot to get a picture of the home made avocado ice cream she made us for desert.  I'd never had that treat before.  It was very creamy and fresh tasting.  The perfect ending to a perfect meal.

 

The quilt show will take place over the remaining days of this week....Here is a charming airplane quilt she has made for a baby boy.

 

 

These blocks were hanging on her design wall.....a study in taupe and hand pieced.

 

 

This itty bitty Amish beauty was pinned to a wall in her sewing room.....unbelievable!
