It definitely feels like summer is getting ready to step aside and yield to fall.......cooler temperatures and way shorter days. Chad called me on Friday about 2:00 p.m. and said, "we need one more picnic up the canyon". So I quickly got picnic things together, put some beans in the oven to bake, made some brownies, purchased hotdogs, buns, marshmallows and chips. Gathered up the hot dog roasters, firewood and chairs and we were ready to go.

The stream coming down the canyon. I'm certain there is more water in it after the week end of rain.
Bruce focusing on the food, while we were posing.....
for a selfie!
Just finished off a few roasted marshmallows...
We were busy making memories.
Despite the rain, I ventured out to the quilt show in the barn, and do I ever have some eye candy to share with you starting tomorrow.
It didn't take long for all of the fabric to be claimed on Friday......I'm sorry you can't all be winners, actually you are all winners, but only 6 were winners of the fabric. :-)
"You have brains in your heads. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the one who'll decide where to go." Love Dr. Seuss ......have a good start to your week.
What a wonderful weekend...and think of the memories you made!! Can't wait to see the Barn quilts!
