The Quilt shows conclusion...

All good things do come to and end...and that is true for the quilt show in the barn.  But, we always know that more good things are just around the corner.

Cute use for rick rack.

A view from the third floor balcony.  It was a rainy day so the clouds are hanging low over the mountains.

I needed to get a picture of the goats as I do love goats.

Entrance to the Barn.....

The beautiful barn door.

When I covered the quilt show in San Diego, I had a picture of a great quilt that was called quilt in a bag.  I wondered how it came about to have that name and this is what the maker of the quilt told me.  I received the nicest explanation from Wendy Held the person who had entered the quilt.  She belongs to an applique group which meets once a month, and each year they try to do a year long project. They have a bag in which they placed fabrics and each month a different person would take the bag home and create a block using the provided fabrics.  They could do any design they wanted and any size.  This sounds like so much fun that I thought I would share her explanation with you.

I believe I will be a grandma before the day is over, as Erin is in the hospital and in labor......I'm busily croqueting around receiving blankets to deal with my nervousness!
