Friends gathered.....

And I came home all inspired, uplifted and refreshed. :-)

Gaylyn has been busy.....first of all, this lovely quilt created around the gray rose bud fabric.
.

Often the simple designs make the best quilts.

Her other big project is stockings for the grand children.  A few are completed, and some just in the creative stage.  She's busy with Christmas fast approaching.

All of the girls have angels....

The front of the stockings are wool with a red flannel stocking.

Something was goofed up with BlogSpot, so I apologize for an absent post.  I had mentioned about wanting to focus on Thankfulness, and Karen Martin emailed me a quote she likes on that topic.
"When you rise in the morning, give thanks for the light, for your life, for your strength.  Give thanks for your food and for the joy of living.  If you see no reason to give thanks; the fault lies in yourself."  Thank you for sharing this great, thoughtful quote with us.  My favorite is rather lengthy but I will share it anyway.
"
"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more.  It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order, confusion into clarity....It turns problems into gifts, failure into success, the unexpected into perfect timing and mistakes into important events.  Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow."  -Melodie Beattie.

I'm wishing you all a marvelous Thanksgiving as you gather with those you love.  And if that is not the case, may you feast off the memories of past gatherings with your loved ones.  I will be in Ohio this next week cooking with my dear son, holding sweet baby Wyatt and marveling at what an amazing mother he has to guide him through life.  Life is good.
