The last rose of summer.....

....here today and gone tomorrow.

Gather rosebuds while you may......as this morning we woke up to our first snow.  It's not the type that will last down here in the valley, but the mountain tops and nicely capped......I believe it is a soup day.

The Pattern for Autumn Sky is on my web site,  This quilt was named such because of the rich autumn colors in the stars.  It will be a great quilt to snuggle under all year round.

I cleaned and organized my sewing room this weekend.  It was a total disaster.  I had fabric out for my latest project plus I had recent purchases that had not been put away, plus a zillion other things going on.  Now I'm ready to start making another mess.  I have a winter applique design out on the drawing board, and I'm excited to get started.....which will mean another big mess.  I always mean to stay organized during the process.  We'll see what transpires this time.

"The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen.  Just listen.  Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention.  A loving silence often has far more power to heal and to connect that the most well intentioned words."

  1. I still have geraniums blooming which is very strange for MN in November. No snow for us yet either, which is okay with me! I'm going to be cleaning my sewing room today--wool applique is a very messy business! I think I spotted one of your designs on the cover of the winter Simply Vintage magazine--congratulations! I can't wait until it's available in the US!
