......more to share on Christmas at Valerie's house.
I love this sweet and simple manger scene.
This was a gift to her from Ghana.
Still one more lovely crèche arranged on her beautiful antique piano.
Before quilting Valerie did counted cross stitch.....me too. I'd still like to find time to stitch some of the patterns I have.
A perfect spot for this quilt.
The quilt rack in the room where Valerie sews.
One more tree.....Most of Valerie's are connected to special memories or have been hand crafted. I left her home inspired by many ideas, and definitely more in the holiday mood......especially because we received a wee bit of snow. I spoke with many yesterday who have already had their fill of snow and would have gladly shipped some of theirs my way.........I'll share Valerie's quilt room with you next.
"Perhaps love is like a resting place, a shelter from the storm. It exists to give you comfort, it is there to keep you warm, and in those times of trouble when you are most alone, the memory of love will bring you home." -John Denver
Thank you so much for this lovely tour. I just love all her themes. I just put out my Nativity set. I love how she displayed her cross stitching on the boxes. I have a feather tree with my cross stitching displayed and I have it in the room I am in the most. Thank you again - you have lots of energy.
ReplyDeleteLovely sentiment!
ReplyDeleteValerie's crèches are beautiful. It is the reason for the season, trite as some may call it. I love all her quilts hanging on the quilt rack in her sewing room too ... a fondness for chickens?
Fun pictures from Valerie's! I love the quilt rack that showcases her quilts. The chicken quilts are cute and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed the quote from John Denver.
No snow here but we are so grateful for the rain we are getting on California's central coast!
Valerie's home is simply and elegantly decorated for Christmas! So inspiring. Love the nativity scenes. Do you happen to know who the designer of the "chicken" quilt on the rack in the sewing room is? Love it!
