Happy Monday.....

Today a group of quilters as well as friends will be meeting for lunch, to celebrate Autumn, and to inspire each other with quilting.  I imagine I will have some goodies to share with you tomorrow.

The Country Sampler in Omaha, Nebraska, was one of those shops which brought on a bit of hyperventilation and an increased pulse rate.  I'm certain that you get the drift!

It got me in the mood for fall decorating.  I spent time over the week end do just that.

"Tell my wife I'm still waiting."  How funny is that?

I fell in love with the cheddar table topper in the background by Buttermilk Basin......plus lots of other things.

I thought this owl was clever.

Tradition......this type of quilt is always appealing to me.

And, there was Christmas inspiration too.

Beautiful fabric and samples.  I'd like to make each one......don't you know.

I wish you all could have been with me.

Two colors with just that little hint of red in the inner border.

I found the needle punch design attached to the outside of this basket really wonderful.

Isn't this quilt absolutely stunning?  I'm referring to the star quilt.  Oh how I love stars.

I also spent some time this week end creating....I will give you a sneak peek soon.

"Search for the seed of good in every adversity.  Master that principle and you will own a precious shield that will guard you well through all the darkest valleys you must traverse.  Stars may be seen from the bottom of a deep we.., and when they cannot be discerned from the mountaintop.  So will you learn things in adversity that you would never have discovered without the trouble.  There is always a seed of good.  Find it and prosper."

  1. That looks like an amazing shop! I fell in love with that Buttermilk Basin pattern when she was vending at a show this summer. I plan to add blocks to make it a throw size--someday. Thanks for sharing your travels--it's so fun to see the different "personalities" in the shops!
