....but not for long. My time in San Diego was everything I hoped it would be. Julie and her husband were a wonderful host and hostess and made me feel very welcome in their lovely home. The highlight of my trip was teaching at Grand Country Quilters. I taught The Spring Blooms table runner on Saturday and on Sunday the Autumn Time Pillow.
Faith came to class with her runner well on it's way to being completed. She chose a different color way which we all thought was stunning.
There were such nice women in the 2 classes......I am always reminded why I teach, and that is to make wonderful new friends,
Karen and Loisann the 2 owners of Grand Country Quilters treated us amazingly! We started off the day with a Mimosa toast accompanied with lovely pastries.....and then lunch was chicken salad with croissants, an assortment of chips and a large selection of fresh fruit! This was followed by cheese cake one day and then the next day 4 layers of decadent chocolate cake. Then later in the afternoon we were served root beer floats. All sorts of munchies were on the tables. Fabric, food and great company, it just doesn't get much better than that!
Our group from Saturdays class.
Patti from Sundays class brought her Navajo Code Talker for show and tell. The class was taught at the shop previously.
Our group from Sundays class. Many had their pillows well on their way to being completed. A wonderful and fun group of women to sew with....Good Times!
Two of the gals were sporting these cute pins......and yes, also a thread or two.
I look forward to a return trip there when I teach at the Poway Guild in March.
Time for the monthly drawing......3 names were once again selected and they are-
Nancy Bryan
Jane Kloosterman
Rebecca Lydy

LOVED your pictures this morning! I can't wait to return to the Country Loft and the Grand Country Quilter...both my favourites! Your class looked wonderful! The lucky ladies who got to attend...and live near those shops!
