Quilts from the San Diego Quilt Show

At last......it's time to share a few of the quilts from the quilt show that took place in September.......better late than never.

You can imagine how pleased I was to see my pattern, "How Does Your Garden Grow" so beautifully made.

This quilt I found to be both very cheerful and the machine quilting to be excellent.

What a remarkable eye catching quilt this is......it was love at first sight!

I'm glad Karen finished it too!

I made a quilt similar to this a few years ago.  This quilt made by Claire McKams is truly lovey.  The hand quilting is exceptional.

I have had a marker on the page of this quilt found in the quilt book "Gone To Texas."  I love the scrappy helter skelter look of it.  The pink and the cheddar really stand out in it.  Just wonderful!

The air conditioning in the building blew the sign just as I was taking the picture.

A simple but charming quilt for the holidays.

I loved the soft sage green used with the red, and the beautiful border fabric ties it all together.

I spent a marvelous day sewing.......I have so many things I want to make I'm spinning my wheels so to speak.  I guess I'll just need to start getting up earlier.  :-)

Today is the second Wednesday and time for another drawing.....the 3 names selected this month are-
Nancy Bryan
Judy Berna
Kathy Hutson
Please email me with your pattern choice and do include your address so that I can mail it to you.

Awareness
"In the entire history of the universe, let alone in your own history, there has never been another day like today, and there will never be another just like it again.  Today is the point to which all your yesterdays have been leading since the hour of your birth.  It is the point from which all your tomorrows will proceed until the hour of your death.  If you are aware of how precious today is, you could hardly live through it.  Unless you are aware of how precious it is, you can hardly be said to be living at all."

  1. There is a major flaw on those quilt labels...they dont give credit to the pattern designers!

  3. Thanks so much for posting the pics of Tina Rainer`s Mystery Quilt. I wasn't able to join Tina at the SD Quilt show, so it was a real treat to see it here. Thanks again! Sylvia Smith (www.dancingbearquiltingstudio.blogspot.com)
