Blue skies and sunshine.....

........along with warm temperatures and palm trees is what I left behind when I returned home.  Only to arrive to snow!  It has snowed off and on all day.  The snow has accumulated.....the moisture is good, but I'm so ready for spring.

I arrived in San Diego on Sunday.  Monday was a perfect day spent stitching with some of the ladies who come on Mondays to stitch at Julie's house. This beautiful counted cross stitch picture hangs in Julie's house......I love it and want to share it with you.

These little counted cross stitch pictures are hanging in Julies kitchen.

I love this quilt hanging in Julies living room.  It is a design by Kathy Cardiff.

Judy Lechner who is one of the ladies that stitches in the Monday group, had just finished piecing this quilt top.  It is called Life is Beautiful and is a design out of Australia.

Julie had just completed this gorgeous piece and it is hanging out on the foot end of her guest bed.  It is a Blackbird Design. is a tantalizing salad which we shared for lunch.  It was one of those perfect salads.

I've decided that Judy's quilt will be the quotes for the day, while they last.
Life is divine chaos, embrace it.

Don't chase your dreams, catch them.

If something feels right, hold on tight.

  1. Julie's guest bed looks gorgeous and the Kim Diehl wall hanging is beautiful as well! What a welcoming room!

  2. Thanks Norma for posting my quilt(Judy Lechner). I have so enjoyed your visits and the trunk show at Quilt Guild in Poway was so inspiring!!

  3. Love, love, love the bed banner in those neutrals. Also gaga over the wall quilt! Life is Beautiful is my long-term hand sewing project. I've only finished 15 circles so far, but at least my stitching has improved :-). I'm using a variegated autumn Valdani collection - reds, golds, greens, browns, and will find coordinating fabrics in my stash I'm sure. Wish I were as far along as Judy! Snow this late can only mean spring is right around the corner. Enjoy it if you can.

  4. Glad to have you back home and posting all these delightful pictures for us to enjoy.

  5. Continue to love all your posts and thank you for taking photos, commenting, allowing us to dream while you work! I love that "Life is Beautiful" quilt - any chance you know how to obtain the pattern? Hope to see you soon!
