Friends Gather

We shared food, friendship, quilting inspiration and nourished our souls in Gaylyn's lovely home.  Needless to say, at the end of the evening we returned home with happy hearts.

I took a few photos of Gaylyn's charming home.  She accents with her quilting creations.  She does such a marvelous job of combing the elegant with the primitive.

Parked nearby is a grandchild's favorite truck.

This quilt is made from my design called Autumn Sky.

The simple but traditionally wonderful hangs in her informal eating area.

Diane shared with us the new quilt she is making for her bed.  It definitely has a modern appeal.

A little quilt adding just the perfect touch to this table.

Awe......houses, I love them.....everyone is different.  How fun would this be to make.

Leslie has been working on this fun wonky quilt....it really has an old vintage appeal to it.

Leslie shared the quilt her grandson and his wife to be, chose for their upcoming wedding quilt.

This is a gorgeous piece of fabric Gaylyn picket up, and had it quilted for a table cloth......absolutely elegant.

And we all loved this scrappy and random civil war soldiers quilt.

And I shared my two corner blocks to the new quilt I've been working on.....I just love their little heads!  It is interesting to me, what different looks they each have just by the tilt of their beaks and the placement of the eye.

"Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not one bit simpler."  -Albert Einstein
The weeks roll by.....another opportunity to create a perfectly memorable week-end!  :-)
