......in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. We had touched bases with Julie, at her store and she had agreed to stay open a little late for us to come and visit. So we set off one afternoon and enjoyed our drive over beautiful country roads to Sun Prairie, which is located just outside Madison.
I thought this would be a good reminder as we step forward into a new week........not looking backwards because we are not going in that direction.
Doesn't this make a vibrant statement?
Oh yes.....Once upon a time....there was enough time! This is the back drop on one of the walls in the store.
Once again simple, but lovely. Notice all of that beautiful wool.
Here is a striking small quilt.....squares and half square triangles.
Another simple design that could be easily created. Beautiful quilts do not have to be complicated.
There were kits for most of these quilts. The straight line quilting is absolutely wonderful on this quilt.
We were delighted with our show and tell!
I really fell for this quilt.
A charming cupboard.......I wondered about all of the good things stored away inside.
Stars and geese......simple and striking! I was warmed by the cheddar.
Simply made, striking and would make an amazing quilt to snuggle under. The quilt was made from flannel and brushed cottons.
"You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose. You're on your own. And you know what you know. And YOU are the guy who'll decide where to go." -Dr. Seuss
Go forward into this new week with a spring to your step, a happy heart and hopeful for the future.
I've been to JJ Stitches and it is a wonderful shop! 2 hours away so it isn't a frequent visit! Love the quilts you shared. Couple I need to contact and see if they have kits.....
ReplyDeleteThanks, Norma! I needed that! So many beauties!
ReplyDeleteThese quilts are so beautiful! Quite an inspiring collection. It would be fun to visit Julie's store. I love the quilt with the friendship stars.
ReplyDeleteEvery single quilt called to me! : )
ReplyDeleteAmazing quilts, especially in awe of the quilter that matched all the checks in the background of the Russian sunflower (sic block name?) wall hanging!
