The home tour continues......

I found Jeanie's home and creative touch in decorating, so inspiring.  If you are like me I love the inspiration that comes from decorating pictures.

The windows were unencumbered, which gave a marvelous view at the back of the house of gorgeous lush green rolling hills.  Also, I found the shelf attached under the windows, such a great idea.

The bold stripe in this antique quilt caught my fancy!  I found a similar stripe at J.J. Stitches.  I will be sharing pictures from that store in the near future.

Another quilt which I fell in love with.  I am persuaded that simple is often best!

The desk tucked into this corner was fabulous!  It is the high kind of desk that one would stand up while working at it.  The bunting draped across the front was a marvelous touch.

Nap time.....he was probable weary from all of the visitors who invaded his space.

This is great old box with a stunning stitchery on the top.

Sewing goodies.

These half gallon jars holding tulips were stunning set against the green background outside the window.

This penny rug is beautiful......wish I had time for rug hooking too.  I want to do it all, and I want to read all of the good books in the world too.

The other kitty wishing us a fond farewell!  I hated to leave this beautiful home, but am thankful for having had the opportunity of visiting and for Jeanie extending such a warm welcome with us.

Having shared this quote.......don't work too hard this week end.  And for sure enjoy the 4th of July......our nations birthday celebration.

  1. Thank you so much for sharing all your photos. I have visited the Country Sampler several times and even stayed at their retreat. Your photos brought back lots of memories and makes me want to go back - long way from CA though. I am a small quilt fan so I enjoyed seeing all the small quilts and I loved the doll bed. How did you get that back on the plane???

    Thanks, Charlotte

  5. Jeanne's home is decorated as nicely as her shop if not more so! What a treat. I think that was a Stacy Nash cross stitch on top of the beautiful box. So glad you had a wonderful time.
