Creating a starter.....

I didn't mean to leave you hanging about the sour dough starter.  To create your own starter, you can add 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of water to a container that is not air tight.  In other words the starter needs air to work, but not a wide open container.  Just lie a lid over the container without sealing it.  Then to the flour and water add a bunch of grapes.....not a great big bunch, but just a branch off a bunch.  Hope this is making sense.  After approximately a week or so, remove the grapes and begin the feeding process.  Each time 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of water.  The start needs to be refrigerated.  If anyone is interested, I can share the other recipes using the sour dough starter.

The Winning Quilt.

A team concept and effort to achieve their winning quilt!

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood.  A cheerful and happy quilt.

Jane.  The skirt on the dress was hanging loose from the quilt.

The colors in this quilt are just lovely!

I love Nancy's attitude...."the quilt was far from perfect, but I love it anyway, mistakes and all."  Only she knows the mistakes, the rest of us love it for it's charm.  Perfection is often over rated......enjoying the process is more important!
