Happy Monday!

"And the Grinch, with his Grinch -feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling, how could it be so?  It came without ribbon.  It came without tags.  It came without packages boxes or bags.  And he puzzled and puzzled 'til his puzzler was sore.  Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before.  What if Christmas, he thought doesn't come from a store.  What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more."  - Dr. Seuss

This month is flying by fast.  It is a wonderful time of the year, so find moments to slow your pace and saver the sounds...the smells.....and the tastes of Christmas.  For some of us this is the only time of the year in which we make certain goodies or traditions from our heritage.

I'm here to show you the progress, I've been making on my new quilt.  It's growing....:-)

It is now awaiting the final border......I'll keep you guessing on that.

This is the cozy little corner of my home where I sew and create.  As of right now my sewing room is a disaster!  Thank goodness I tidy up between projects, so that I can dig it all out again and start over.

As I'm finishing up on a piece of fabric, or if I am particularly liking a specific piece, I cut it into different size strips.  This is my basket collecting two inch strips.  The strip piecing on this quilt is from two inch strips.

Now we're back to celebrate and enjoy quilter's talents from around the world.

From the United Kingdom, and influenced by a quilt made circa 1810.  I wonder if the quilters from a day gone by, ever imagined that two hundred years later there work would still be inspiring other quilters.

Beautiful!

And it truly is a beauty.

This lovely was inspired by a 1930's quilt.  Many cheerful little bits of fabric, 5,657 little pieces to be exact!

Make certain that you take the time to read what Diane Tenney had to say about her creation.

What a beautiful achievement by Lisa Mason.  This quilt is a visual treat!

Many itty bitty hexagons!

Great care was taken with fabric placement, to provide extra detail and interest.

I apologize for not having the info on this quilt.  I believe the larger hexagon border were appliqued to the border background.  An interesting way to finish the quilt, or on further inspection perhaps they are just solid hexagons just very densely quilted.

This quilt stopped me in my tracks....design within the design, and then the half circles tucked in along the border.

Another quilt with special meaning!  A part of Valli Schiller's story.

Just one more vibrant quilt for today.

Just a reminder, that today is a good day to have a good day. :-)
