I was busily finding....

....my rabbits and all things spring, and then we woke up to snow.  It sort of put a damper on things, but it is March after all.  Bunnies will soon be out happing about.

This is Living in the Sunlight, and it is the first time it has been home for quite a while.  I sold out of the kits so I've made more.  I absolutely love the Diamond Textile fabric which I've used for the main background.

This is where my patriotic thoughts ended up.  I'm having a grand old time stitching away on this new design.  The houses and roofs are in cotton and everything else is in wool.

These are the two corners which I've completed the applique on.

This adorable pin cushion arrived in the mail today.  I was both surprised and delighted!  A kind and generous reader of my blog sent it......I'm smiling just looking at it.

Between the Amana Colonies and Kalona, Iowa, which is an Amish settlement we came across this picturesque and captivating place.

The shop is called The Rug Cottage.  There was much more than rugs.

On the property is this gentle little pond and chairs beside for thought, reading, or quiet contemplation.  It was love for me at first sight.

And this unique red shed on wheels.  I wonder about the story connected with it.  It's so important to get off the Interstate and meander through the back roads.

A penny rug, plus many others.  I wish I had bought some of them.

Trina Mattingly shared the following quote.
"Enthusiasm is the greatest asset in the world.  It beats money and power and influence.  It is no more or less than faith in action."

  3. Love your new patriotic project! And I just want to sit in one of those Adirondack chairs by the pond with a glass of tea and some handwork. Would be perfect bliss! ♥

  4. I am fortunate to have time this evening to catch up on my favorite blogs. I plan a motor home trip to the Amana Colonies this Summer. Haven't been there for several years. I hope we have time to stop at some of these great places. Thanks for sharing.
