My nephew Luke.....

....the hunter and outdoors man.  He is busily living his dream.

There were birds everywhere.....no one in my immediate family hunts, so it was quite something to see.  I had never visited him in the new house he built for himself, in a beautifully wooded area in the country.

This wild turkey was amazing.

I do believe the top pelt is that of a skunk.

The thing I marveled at, is how the road ditches are filled with Queen Anne's Lace.  Everything was so lush, green and beautiful.

I realize this has nothing to do with quilting, but it was part of our adventures on this past trip.  If you are not a hunter, at least you can appreciate the beautiful country side.

  1. As I was running errands yesterday, I was amazed at how much Queen Anne,s Lace was blooming around here too. Definitely a bumper crop this year!
