Caohagan Island.....

On our return trip in August, we attended the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum In Golden, Colorado.  We were so pleased that we fit this into our schedule.

This little Island of 600 hundred souls and their artistic expression is truly phenomenal.

I hope that after reading this, that you are inspired as we were during our visit.

Creating beauty out of what they have.  The quilts remind be of the Gee's Bend quilts.

Wouldn't it be fun to stitch with these women?!

"Make it a rule of life never to regret and to never to look back.  Regret is an appalling waste of energy.  You can't build on it.  It's only good for wallowing in." -Katherine Mansfield

  1. Sea quilt with pieced fish is amazing. So interesting to see how a craft can develop completely independently when it is in isolation.
