I cannot endure to waste.....

....anything so precious as autumnal sunshine by staying in doors.
However, I've been spending more time than I'd like in doors, but at least I'm working on what I enjoy!  I was happy to have Harvest Blessings home to hang above my fire place.

I have the mantle decorated for fall.

We will wander a bit through antique stores now.  I loved this...so vintage.  But I managed to leave it behind.

This would work nicely as an organizer.

Back when the standard was to only dress babies in white or pastels.

A gorgeous heirloom!  It was huge.

Sweet!

So very lovely and so vintage.

I managed to leave this behind also.

Buttons.....and a few more buttons.  A whole lot of them.

Embroidered tea towels.....I embroidered some of these when I was a youngster!  Along time ago!

Charming dresser scarves.

Also, I remember my mother doing laundry with this type of wringer apparatus......the whites went into a tub of bluing.

And I definitely remember something like this to whip cream.  It kept the cream from spattering about.  Could this classify me as an antique?!!!

The two long armed men in my family holding up a new quilt.  It is called The Memory Keeper.

I believe a quilt like this would work splendidly for a block exchange.  All of those participating, could sign their name, or leave a thought.....you get the drift, in that way the quilt could store away precious memories.

  1. I hope everything is okay that you've had to spend time indoors. Your quilt looks so nice on the mantle. Those are wonderful antique store finds - some of those look hard to pass up.

  2. What a lovely quilt! It certainly proves that a quilt pattern does not have to be intense or laborious to be beautiful. What a treasure.
