Snowflakes!

"A snowflake is one of God's most fragile creations, but look what they can do when they stick together"  -unknown

Yes, you're right, we received our first real snow fall here in the Salt Lake valley.  And by those snowflakes sticking together, it has really accumulated in our mountains, and they have managed to open the way for skiers.

A tradition I started when the kids when they were little, was to play Christmas music loudly when we awoke to the first snowfall.  Now, Abbie follows up on the tradition and calls the family and plays us Christmas music.  Traditions are good!  I awoke to Christmas music yesterday morning.  I smiled and felt all cozy and warm inside!

The pattern for Christmas Or Not has been completed and is now available on my web site.

While Julie was visiting in October, we visited the marvelous cross stitching shop called The Shepherds Bush, in Ogden Utah.  I'm positive it would be among the best stitching shops in the country.

Julie is a very proficient stitcher, and hyperventilates when she walks through the door.

Since our visit was in the Fall, that is where their focus was.

However, because Christmas was fast approaching, there were those temptations also.

What a sweet little Bunnie family!

Yes, above all keep a happy heart......and that comes with counting our blessings!

Woops!....I'm in the way again.

My final analogy, there not enough hours in the day!!!

"Night is my favorite day - I love silence so."

  1. Love your quilt "Christmas Or Not". It caught my eye right away. The cross stitch is lovely and I can understand Julie's feelings about cross stitch. Thanks for sharing all these lovely photos.

  2. So many lovely things. My daughter asked me what I wanted for Christmas to which I replied....a time machine so I could add more hours in the day in which to stitch! Happy first snow fall.

  3. I'm so jealous of your trip to Shepherd's Bush! They're my favorite design team of all time. I love their location, their samples, and the fact that you can get all their beautiful frames and custom mats. I probably still have 20 or so kits to stitch. Your post makes me itch to split my time between quilting and cross stitching :-). I think I stopped because it takes so long to complete a piece on 28 or 32 count linen. With 2018 just around the corner, I may have to rethink my project list. Thanks for the nudge - I think I'm hyperventilating myself!
