Sunny Skies.....

I've been busy making kits.  I am out of several of them, and am enjoying the quiet process of cutting fabric.  I find it soothing.  I have to think on that one, and decide why it feels soothing.  For one thing, I sometimes crave the quiet.

Keukenhof was celebrating it's 70 years of existence.  It boasts of having 7 million tulips, daffodils and hyacinth and cover over 32 acres.  Most of the daffodils were no longer blooming s they had an early warm spring.

Some of these tulips looked like Peonies to me.

Everything was well thought out.  We loved this hedge formed over and around the walk way.

The gardens were busy over the Easter week end.

I don't know what type of tree this is, but they were prevalent in both The Netherlands and Belgium.

As we were coming in to land, the flower fields from the air were spectacular!

Aren't these exquisite?!

These were just so sweet and did not really resemble tulips until you looked at the foliage.

These were kind of Lilly looking...… so beautiful.  I hope I have not bored you with more tulips, but we just enjoyed this day so much.  I still have a few more to share on Monday.

Continued..... "Someday I'll get my driver's license, and then I'll be happy.  Someday I'll graduate from college, and then I'll be happy.  Someday I'll have a wonderful job, family, house, dog and boat, and then I'll be happy.  Someday I'll retire and - just you wait and see - I'll really be happy then."
 - to be continued.

  1. Hello ! I'm from France and it seems to me that the tree on your picture is a plane tree. My husband and I visited the Keukenhof a few years ago and like you i took many pictures of tulip. They are so beautiful !

  2. No you definitely haven't bored me. Those are all so beautiful - it is great how they have tulips that look like lilies and peonies. Only to confuse people like me who have trouble naming the basic plants.
