First of all, let me announce the 2 winners for the snowman pillow patterns for this month. You may choose between Tidings of Joy or Snow Buddies. The winners are......Sandi McKell and Kelly Runde. Please contact me. Also, may I suggest that you now be thinking about the 12 Days of Christmas Give A Way. Starting on the 14th of December there will be a prize featured on my blog. I will let you know that day how I will determine who the winner will be. I've some great prizes to give to you my wonderful friends and faithful readers.
Now about the flashy bling shown above.......cute isn't it. A button bracelet. The basic directions for making the bracelet are- Cut a length of 1 inch elastic that will fit around your hand and sit comfortably around your wrist. Then make a casing out of fabric to coordinate with your selected button colors. If you choose all black you could simply use black elastic with out a casing. I suggest using a strong durable quilting thread to sew on your buttons. Overlap the edges of your button and really fill up the band. You may want to make a bracelet that does not slide over you hand but instead has a closure. In that case, place a small button on one end of the elastic, and on the other end a small loop of 1/8 inch elastic that will fit around the closure button. I can picture one made from glitzy buttons adorned with rhinestones, mixed with metal button....and I can also picture one that is from interesting wood button. I guess it's time to start digging through the buttons and watch for sales at Jo Ann's on buttons. :-).
I really have not had time to say Goodbye to October, it all went by in such a rush. Now that November is upon us I want to be focusing more on Thanksgiving and being thankful. I try to consider my blessings every day, however I want to focus on that topic in a more meaningful way.
Gratitude turns whatever we have into enough.
I can't believe I won. I'm going to love the crazy snowman. Sandi
