Let the show and tell begin...

Hiding behind the gorgeous quilt is my friend and graphic designer, who has chosen this for her first applique project.  Quite ambitious.....but she is doing a fabulous job.  Just a year ago when I started out as Timeless Traditions, she really didn't quilt.....she's been bitten by the bug!

Ann Lewis and Melissa Clark came to share with us the Days for Girls project that we will be involved in.....I hope you have taken time to investigate how you might become involved also.  This is one of Ann's beautiful quilts....it is made from Civil War reproduction fabrics.  It was beautiful.

Melissa made this wonderfully funky quilt, I believe she said she had made more than one......apparently it was in demand by her family.

Cherie Payne is the designer of this cute and folky little quilt which she does so well.  Valerie brought it plus others for show and tell.  She does many of Cherie's designs.

Many in our group have become strippers...:-)) hoping to use up fabric in their stash.  They really end up with amazing artistic quilts.....I think I might try this when I have some extra time.

Here is another of Ann's creation....we were so pleased that they brought some show and tell.  This quilt called crossroads was a Remember When design, made by Leslie Ison, when we worked together in that endeavor....Love, love, love this quilt.

Recently I taught a class on my rabbit pillow design, called Taking Time to Smell the Flowers.  Here is Debra's version.  She is making hers into a small wall hanging.  Debra is an artist, so she always makes and embellishes her work to make it spectacular.

Take notice of the tail...it just makes me smile.  You can see all of the extra embellishment work....just lovely!

Kerry was in the class also...and here is her adaption of the pattern.  These women are the best at embellishment.  If you want to learn from the best, Kerry will be teaching embellishment at the beautiful resort where we recently had the retreat.  The retreat is called, Small Town Quilt Retreat In a Big City Way.  The link to this retreat can be found on www.kerrystitchdesigns.blogspot.com

"Its almost here...it's safe to say, I saw a crocus (tulip) yesterday.
Its colors bright, a lovely thing,
My heart rejoiced twil' soon be spring.

Wishing you a sun filled week-end!
