Blue Skies and Sunshine.....

........However, the days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping.  I sense fall right around the corner, creeping closer and closer.  The passing of summer so quickly is bittersweet.
I have quilts to show you from the quilt show, but first I must show you what my friend Shanna brought over yesterday.  She has been busy knitting for my new grand baby boy soon to arrive. This will be so cute when he's starting to the little bear ears and the bear paws on the pockets. A perfectly lovely creation by a lovely friend!

This bunny is certain to be a favorite snuggle item!  Today I will finish the liner for the basinet and send it on it's way.  We're on the countdown and I'm grinding my teeth that I'm so far away. :-(

Now the quilt show will begin....Shareese Harris is the creator of this stunning quilt made from wool.  The background is made from cotton.

I love quilts where piecing and applique are combined.  Catherine Hughes created this charming quilt called Primitive Garden.  Catherine's husband helped Abbie and I get out platform carrier deal bolted safely to our car.....we were having difficulties and he came to our aid.

I love houses and I love of course this quilt by Clara Gibson, caught my eye.
'Houses Among the Stars'

Tammy Rouleau's quilt was a favorite at Country Loft, where it was offered, I believe as a block of the month.  My big regret was not having the time to visit the Country Loft.  It is a charming and one of a kind quilt store.......full of inspiration.  I've been known to hyperventilate upon entering its door.

Woops!  I shot these pictures in a hurry, and I'm not know for my photography skills.  Old Fashioned Flowers is made from wool on cotton, and is just sweet as can be.  This would make a great take along ....nice little blocks.  Margaret Reap is the creator.

Pat Anderson entered this Sun Flower wall hanging, and The Watering Can below.  They are both wool on cotton.  As you can see there was an abundance of inspiration walking through the quilt show.  I have many to share and I hope you are as inspired as I was.

""the gifts we receive today are really not gifts..until we GIVE them away"" :)

have a wool good day :)

  3. Adore the sweater; seed stitch borders and wooden buttons! A great deal of inspiration from these quilts; houses, trees, and my favorite- the watering can with birds-I held my breath. Thank you for sharing!

  4. Wonderful and inspiring. I can see that you are drawn to the same style of quilts as I am. It is why I love your blog and your designs. I would love to be able to take a class with you but there is an entire continent between us. You must come east. Cape Cod is beautiful this time of year and of course Boston is a great city for history and the inspiration it provides. Take care and have a great weekend.
