Quilts shared.....

by friends in our little monthly gathering.  We shared food, wonderful stimulating conversation, laughter and quilts.

Diane's beginnings for a new quilt.......great fabrics.

Gaylyn has new grandbabies arriving and some on the way....this strippy quilt will be for a new grand daughter.

A pattern found from Country Threads last book. This will be for a new grand son.  What a clever way to sash the humble nine patch.

We were charmed by this vintage looking Churn Dash quilt she is now in the process of binding.  The aqua sashing is just the color for this quilt.....and we loved the yellow printed border, and she placed the same fabric on the back.  This yellow print was a treasure we brought back from Pa. in June.

Barbara never disappoints us with what she is working on.  We found this new creation to be stunning.  The thing about Barbara's quilts, they are hand quilted!

Barbara's take on the same block I used in the Parlour  Table quilt pattern which is on my web site, and which I will be teaching in the upcoming quilting adventure in Page......I'm getting excited!

This lovely antique quilt which Barbara purchased a while back......all hand quilted of course.....we concluded was a real treasure.

Rhoni, my friend at Diamond Textiles sent me some new fabric, so now I can get busy on a new quilt......I have a pile of fabrics to go with it.  It will be a scrap quilt, but I believe the fabric she sent will define the quilt.  I've also been working on a two colored quilt.....This is something I've wanted to do for a while.

Enjoy your week end.

  3. Such beautiful quilts! Thanks for sharing them. I would name favorites but I wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

  4. These scrap quilts are beautiful. Your friend Diane made 9 patch blocks that I don't believe I have ever seen. If she doesn't mind sharing, I would like to make this quilt. What are the dimensions, etc.? Thank you in advance for your help.

  5. Hi, Norma. I "pinned" Diane's little blocks on Pinterest when I first saw them and they have been repinned 179 times. They are a favorite block there! Do you know how she put them together into a quilt? Did she use them with other blocks or only that pattern? Did she use sashing? Was the quilt large or small? Is there any chance you can post a photo or maybe Diane posted a photo (if she has a blog)? It seems like a great block to use with (curated) scraps. Thanks so much.
