What a Joy it is.....

to look into the eyes of your first grandchild......  its this unimaginable  love at first sight.  I will try not to bore you with all of the details, but I am really smitten!

Wyatt Benjamin Whaley at 2 and 1/2 weeks......so precious.

Did I get any stitching done?.......No, I did not.  This is how I spent my days.  I actually got my neck in a fix from constantly trying to memorize every little expression.

Mia, approves of her little brother.  She takes a sniff, gives a lick and settles down for a nap by him.

An awesome tree by their house.  It started out as one tree and then split.

Here is that nice green lawn about 3 hours after......and notice all of the leaves still on the trees.  The leaf gathering will go on for quite some time.  Everyone blows the leaves out into the street, and the city comes around 3 times during the fall and vacuums  them up.  There would not be enough leaf bags to handle all of these leaves.  We enjoyed taking Wyatt for stroller rides through the neighborhood taking in the splendor of the fall season.

It is good to be back home, but a bit of me is in Ohio.  However, it is time for me to get something accomplished here at home.  I made more Winter Berry kits yesterday as the last ones have flown out the door. Next week I travel to Page, Arizona for a quilting retreat which I will be teaching at, so I'd better get moving and back into the swing of things, knowing that my life has been forever changed by this new little blessing.

  2. I don't blame you for not getting any sewing done! Wyatt is just the cutest, sweetest baby I have seen in a long time. I would have spent my time just staring at that little face too. Again, Congratulations on becoming a grandma - he's one cute little angel boy!!

  5. Norma you have a Grandma's heart now! Isn't it just the best? I have 6 grand kids and with the birth of each one my heart grew a little bit bigger. They range in age from 1-11, 2 boys and 4 girls, each with their own personalities and views of the world. My heart aches for them every time I think about them. Thank goodness for today's technology, it shortens the miles between us. Grandma Rita
