Tis the Night Before Christmas.......

And the family is gathering at our house....Tri tip, crab legs, au gratin potatoes, and a few other goodies are on the menu.  Grandpa is bringing home made pecan pie.  Should be a feast!  Games and good times will also be served......we're excited.  We're trying the no hype approach to Christmas this year........Last year at this time we were in Ohio for Christmas and my heart still feels warm and cozy when I think of the candle lit service I attended with Erin's family.  Life is an accumulation of memories....the only thing that lasts.....need to make them special.

Just had to share this picture of Tucker all tucked into Abbie's sweatshirt.  He's a snuggler.
I love those little dogs.

Pine and Holly is a table runner which I made in 2002.  It looks lovely out all during the winter season.  The background is wool and beautiful Diamond Textiles, and of course the design is in wool.

I'm debating about making this into a bolster pillow.....it would look great on my bench.  This pattern will be a giveaway today.....to the first two people who respond with their address.
norma@timelesstraditionsquilts.com     Wendy Held was the winner of the Quilt Mania magazine......I'm waiting for her address.

I'm wishing for you a joyful, happy hearted holiday time with your family and loved ones.  I will return to blogging on Monday December 29th.

  3. Your menu sounds delicious. I wanted to do seafood, but my daughter hates it, so sticking with traditional turkey. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and many blessings in the new year.

  11. Wow, no one has posted on your blog since the 22nd. Guess we are all busy. I love your blog although I haven't been able to look at blogs I am following since before Christmas either. Hope your family had a wonderful and safe Christmas.
