A talented friend with many lightboxes.......

I imagine you're wondering why someone would have many light boxes......if you are a radiologist, that is one of the side benefits! :-)  I have a friend, one whom I haven't met yet, who is a radiologist and also a quilter.  She has designed the following great patterns.  She was generous in sharing pictures with me.

This friends name is Joan Tonanek, and she designed this quilt named 'Camp-Run-A-Muck.'  Clever name for a great quilt.

Joan also designed this delightful quilt called 'Acres of Acorns."  I'm in love with the adorable little cottage in the center, especially the turquoise roof......just a charming little house where I'd like to live.  The quilts are a combination of wool and cotton.

Judi Avis sent me a photo of her completed Navajo Code Talker....She is pleased with how it turned out, and I can understand that, as it  has eye catching appeal.  I believe Judi said it will go to her grandson.  It thrills me when people share their work with me.....I appreciate the inspiration and I believe you do also.

I have another set of 4 fat quarters from Moda to give a way.....they will be given to the first person to respond by sending me their address.  The other set went to Charlene Rose.  If you've already won, don't contact me as it would be nice to have several different winners.

Last eve. was my night to cook for Chad and Grandpa.....and we had a bonus as Jess, Katrina and the grand dogs were able to come too.  We're back to having lovely weather, and eating out side is such a pleasure.  However, it reminds me that just as I finish some house cleaning, it is now time to work in the yard.
