A quilt for Taylor

I've been considering for a while what kind of quilt I would make for my niece's son Taylor.  When Sarah asked me to make her son a quilt for his graduation from High School, I thought that I had plenty of time.  Well, time flies past as time does and now he is graduated and the quilt is just now complete, right down to the label.

I made this quilt long, because Taylor is a tall basketball player.  My quilt holder is my 6'5" son in law, and you can't see his head or his feet, so I think I succeeded.

Now for the label-

I've learned that a full life is not determined by how long you live, but how well.
I've learned that if you want to cheer up yourself, you should try cheering up someone else.
I've learned that work enjoyed is as much fun as leisure.
I've learned that you should treat everyone with respect, and demand respect in return.
I've learned that the wealthy person is the one who is content with what he has.
I've learned that what you are thinking about, you are becoming.
I've learned that there is no substitute for good manners.
I've learned that ultimately, takers lose and givers win.
I've learned that big problems always start out small.
I've learned that honesty in little things is not a little thing.
I've learned that the only thing you owe life is to become the best you can be.

Since it was a long quilt I decided it could take a long label message.  :-)

The Patriotic Stars pattern is ready for purchase.  I've had some of you asking about if there was a pattern......well, now there is.
