Slow stitching continues....

I'm hoping I'm not boring you with more quilts.  However, in my opinion all quilters enjoy seeing beautiful quilts.

It is very meaningful to be a part of this auction.  Some of the ladies donate their time every week of the year.....they are to be commended.

The variety of the quilts ensures that there is something for everyone's taste.

This wall hanging appears to be machine quilted, however it is not....very meandering hand quilting.

This quilt stopped me in my tracks.

The embroidery work on the blocks, was absolutely exquisite.

Some lucky bidder took this heirloom home.

This is the quilt which sold for 6,600 dollars.  Every thing about this quilt was masterfully done.  It is the work of Cody Mazaron.

The Hand quilting is exceptional.

Phyllis Dickinson, sent this picture of how she set all of the blocks from the civil war blocks she made which could be set on point.
Thank you for sharing this with us Phyllis, it gives another idea.  Phyllis states she has several other blocks made which still need to be put into a second quilt.  Hopefully she will share that with us too.

  3. Nope! Not bored here!!!
Loving the display of wonderful quilts... One day I would love to go to a quilt festival/show and see with my own eyes quilts that have been made. I am sure close up they look delightful.
Thank you for sharing them :)

  4. I look forward to your posts, and am never bored or disappointed. Today was especially wonderful -- gorgeous quilts, and a theme I plan to adopt for 2016: "gathering the precious things out of each day". Thank you, Norma, for taking the time and doing the work that must be required to write a blog. Best wishes to you and your family for a joyful holiday season. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
